Beyond Victims Series (Marathi)

At Women for Politics (WfP), we are committed to breaking the narrative of women as victims who need to saved and seen as beneficiaries and move beyond victims narrative to women as change-makers and leaders through 'Beyond Victims' series.

The Covid-19 pandemic has brought in a crisis where the political leadership has been crucial. New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Finland Prime Minister Sanna Marin, Norway Prime Minister Erna Solberg and the Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen are the names that have been on the headlines of the global, national and local newspapers across the world. Women leadership has been hailed and spoken that women leadership has proven to be more effective in handling the crisis.

In our first edition of the Beyond Victims series, we aim to curate stories of such women leaders in India and other South Asian countries who have demonstrated effective leadership during the crisis posed by the pandemic.

This Marathi edition brings stories of effective women political leaders at the grassroots in various parts of India, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan.
